Driving
From Tórshavn, take Route 10 north towards Streymoy Island. Continue onto Route 594, a single-lane mountain road, for approximately 55 minutes (50km). Be mindful of pull-over spots to allow oncoming traffic to pass. Note that there are fees for driving through the subsea tunnels in the Faroe Islands. There is no parking fee.

Public Transport
From Tórshavn, take bus 400 to Oyrarbakki. From Oyrarbakki, transfer to bus 201 to Tjørnuvík. Note that the frequency of bus 201 is low, so plan accordingly. A multi-day travel card for bus and ferry travel is available for DKK 500 for four days. A single sandwich costs 40 DKK.
