Sørvágur Village Museum: A Glimpse into Faroese History

Sørvágur Village Museum, established in 1963, is dedicated to preserving and showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the Faroe Islands. Initially housed in the attic of the local power station, the museum has grown to become one of the largest village museums in the country. In June 2014, it moved to a new, modern building in the old bank house, ensuring a secure future for its extensive collection.
