    To reach Kallur Lighthouse, begin by taking Route 400 or Route 10 to Klaksvík on Borðoy Island. From Tórshavn, the journey is approximately 75 km and takes about 1.5 hours by car. In Klaksvík, board the Route 56 ferry to Syðradalur on Kalsoy Island. The ferry trip takes about 20 minutes. It is advisable to book your ferry ticket in advance. The cost for a vehicle and driver is 160 DKK, and 40 DKK for each additional adult passenger. Parking is free next to the ferry port.

  • Bus

    Upon arrival in Syðradalur, Kalsoy, take the Route 506 bus to Trøllanes. The bus ride costs approximately 20 DKK. From the bus stop in Trøllanes, follow the road north. Walk past the public toilet to the red gate. The hike to Kallur Lighthouse is about 4.8 km (3 miles) round trip and takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. There is a hiking fee of 200 DKK for adults, payable by credit card on site.

    From the parking area in Trøllanes (62.36150, -6.78864), walk up the road to the red gate. Ensure the gate is closed after passing through it. Follow the path on the right-hand side around the mountain. The hike to Kallur Lighthouse is about 1.6km (1 mile) one-way from Trøllanes and takes 40-60 minutes. The hike is moderate in difficulty. There is a hiking fee of 200 DKK for adults, payable by credit card on site.
