If you are traveling by car, start from the main town of Sørvágur. Drive east on Route 40 towards the town of Miðvágur. After about 5 kilometers, you will reach a junction; take a left onto Route 41. Continue on this road for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach the town of Haldarsvík. In Haldarsvík, follow local signs towards Fossá, which is roughly another 1 kilometer away. Make sure to park your car at the designated parking area near the waterfall. The GPS coordinates for Fossá are approximately 62.2511° N, 7.0777° W.
Public Transportation
To reach Fossá using public transportation, take a bus from Sørvágur to Tórshavn, and then transfer to a bus that goes to Haldarsvík. The bus ride from Sørvágur to Tórshavn takes about 30 minutes, and from Tórshavn to Haldarsvík, it will take another 30 minutes. Check the local bus schedules for the latest timings, as they may vary. Once you arrive in Haldarsvík, you will need to walk approximately 1 kilometer to reach Fossá.
