Getting There

  • Car

    From Nadi, drive towards Lautoka. After passing Lautoka, look for signs directing you to Koroyanitu National Park. The park entrance is near Abaca Village. The road to Abaca Village can be rough, especially during the rainy season, so a 4WD vehicle is recommended. As of April 2023, the road to Abaca has been improved and is accessible by any vehicle. Arrange transportation through tour operators or hire a 4WD taxi. There is parking available at the visitor center in Abaca Village.

    From Nadi, take a bus towards Lautoka. Ask the driver to drop you off at the junction for Koroyanitu National Park. From the bus stop, it's approximately a 2-kilometer walk to the park entrance. Alternatively, take the bus to Nadi Airport and then take a taxi to Mount Koroyanitu. Ensure you have local currency for the bus fare and park entry fees. Bus fare from Nadi to Nadi Airport is approximately FJD 2-3.

  • Taxi

    From Lautoka, a taxi to Abaca Village, the 'base camp' for Koroyanitu Heritage Park, takes approximately 30 minutes. Arrange a taxi familiar with the route, as the road can be rough. A 4WD taxi service is recommended, especially during the rainy season. The taxi fare from Lautoka to Abaca Village is approximately FJD 50-70.
