    From Nadi International Airport, take Queens Road towards Lautoka. Continue on Queens Road until you reach the turnoff for Koroyanitu National Park. Follow the signs to the park entrance. The road to Abaca Village can be rough, so a 4WD vehicle is recommended. A taxi from Nadi to the park can cost around FJD 80-120.

  • Public Transport

    From Nadi International Airport, take a taxi or bus to Lautoka bus station. From Lautoka, take a bus heading towards Sigatoka. In Sigatoka, transfer to a bus heading towards Korolevu. Ask the driver to drop you off at the turnoff for Koroyanitu National Park. From the bus stop, walk approximately 2 kilometers to reach the park entrance. Bus fares from Nadi to Lautoka are around FJD 3-5.

Koroyanitu National Park, established in 1989, protects Fiji's unique flora and fauna, offering visitors a glimpse into the country's natural beauty. Situated in the mountains between Nadi and Lautoka on Viti Levu island, the park spans approximately 17,000 hectares. Known for its dramatic landscapes, vibrant ecosystems, and cultural significance, the park is a sanctuary for various plant and animal species.The park features three main trails: two shorter trails to waterfalls and a longer, more strenuous hike to the summit of Mt. Batilamu. The Mount Batilamu Trail is a challenging full-day hike that offers panoramic views of the Mamanuca and Yasawa Island chains. The Waterfall Trek is a shorter hike that leads to a scenic waterfall, suitable for a less strenuous option. The park also contains some of the rarest bird species in Fiji, including the Masked Shining Parrot and Fiji Parrotfinch.Koroyanitu is steeped in cultural history, with several traditional Fijian villages in the area. Visitors can engage with local communities, experiencing Fijian customs and traditions. A portion of hiking fees supports education, healthcare, and sustainable development in the nearby Abaca village.
