Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Rakiraki, head southwest on the main road towards the town of Nadrau. Look for local signage indicating directions to Nadrau. Continue walking for approximately 6 kilometers until you reach a junction. At the junction, take a left turn onto a smaller road that leads towards the coast. This road may be unpaved, so be cautious as you walk. Follow this road for about 2 kilometers, and you will find a sign pointing to Barkley Point. The path will lead you through some scenic areas, and after another 1 kilometer of walking, you will arrive at Barkley Point.

  • Bicycle

    If you can rent a bicycle in Rakiraki, start at the main square and cycle southwest on the main road towards Nadrau. This route is approximately 6 kilometers. Once you reach the junction, turn left and follow the smaller road towards the coast for about 2 kilometers. Keep an eye out for a sign indicating Barkley Point. The last stretch is approximately 1 kilometer on a path that may be less maintained, but it's manageable on a bicycle. Make sure to wear a helmet and stay hydrated!

  • Local Transport (Bus or Taxi)

    From Rakiraki, you can take a local bus heading towards Nadrau. Ask the driver to drop you off at the junction before Nadrau. Once you get off, head left towards the coast on the smaller road for about 2 kilometers. Look for signs marking Barkley Point. If you prefer a taxi, negotiate a fare to the same junction and follow the same walking directions from there.
