If you are staying in Sigatoka town, it is possible to walk to the Sigatoka River Safari departure point in Mavua, but it is a considerable distance (approximately 7km). The walk will take over an hour, so it's only recommended if you enjoy long walks and are prepared for the heat and humidity. Follow the Queens Road out of town towards Nadi, then turn off onto the road towards the river. Be aware that there are limited sidewalks along the way.
