Besides sharks, the lagoon boasts over 400 species of fish, giant groupers, Maori wrasse, eagle rays, and more. Aqua-Trek has been instrumental in protecting the local shark population, working with the Fiji Government to declare the reefs and surrounding areas as Marine Protected Areas.
