Tram lines 1, 4, and 10 stop in front of the Natural History Museum, while tram lines 7 and 9 stop at Kampintori, both within walking distance. Several bus lines also stop near Tennis Palace and in the Kamppi Shopping Centre. A single public transport ticket costs approximately €3.20.

    Walking

    If you are near Helsinki Central Railway Station, exit towards 'Kaivokatu' and walk straight. Turn left at 'Mannerheimintie' and continue until you reach 'Kamppi'. Take a right onto 'Eteläinen Rautatiekatu' and walk for about 5 minutes. The museum is on your right at Eteläinen Rautatiekatu 8.

    Taxi

    Taxis are readily available in Helsinki. A short taxi ride from the city center to HAM would typically cost between €13 and €22, depending on the distance and time of day. Taxi fares have a base charge of €5.30 during the day and €8.30 during nights and weekends, plus a kilometer rate.
