This environmental education center is located in a beautiful Art Nouveau villa designed by architect Mauritz Gripenberg in 1904 for Baroness Elvira Standertskjöld. The villa showcases early 20th-century Finnish architectural style with British country house influences, making it a unique architectural gem. Today, Villa Elfvik serves as a hub for environmental education, offering insights into local nature and promoting sustainable lifestyles. The center opened to the public in 1992 and has since become a popular destination for nature lovers and those interested in learning about sustainability.
