Getting There

  • Public Transport

    Take the Metro from any station in Espoo towards Helsinki. If you're starting from places like Tapiola or Matinkylä, board the Metro at the Tapiola or Matinkylä stations. Ride the Metro until you reach the Kamppi station in central Helsinki. From Kamppi, transfer to tram number 3, which can be found on the street level near the Kamppi shopping center. Board tram 3 and travel for approximately 10 stops, getting off at the 'Mechelininkatu' stop. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk to Sibelius Park, which is located at Mechelininkatu 39. Just head east on Mechelininkatu, and you will see the park on your right.

    If you are already in central Espoo, you can use the pedestrian paths to walk towards the nearest Metro station, such as the Espoo station. Follow the signs for the Metro and take the train to Kamppi station in Helsinki. Once you arrive at Kamppi, follow the previous instructions by taking tram number 3. If you prefer to walk directly, it's a long trek of about 12 kilometers and would take roughly 2.5 hours, so using the Metro is advisable.

    Rent a bicycle from one of the many bike rental stations in Espoo. You can follow the marked bike paths to reach Helsinki. The route is approximately 12 kilometers and will take about 45 minutes to an hour, depending on your speed. Once you arrive in Helsinki, head towards Mechelininkatu. Look for signs directing you to Sibelius Park or use a mapping application on your phone. The park is located at Mechelininkatu 39.
