Discover more about Glims Farmstead Museum

Glims Farmstead Museum provides a unique opportunity to explore the rural history of Espoo. Located in the Karvasmäki village, the museum comprises 11 original buildings, with the oldest dating back to the 18th century. These buildings stand in their original locations, creating an authentic farmyard setting. Originally a working farm, Glims also served as an inn and hostelry at various times. The museum opened in 1958 and has since offered visitors a chance to experience the past through exhibits and seasonal events. Visitors can explore the farmhouse, admire traditional plants, and encounter domestic animals during the summer. The museum also hosts various events, including guided tours and craft demonstrations. In winter, the farm embraces the festive spirit with the appearance of a Christmas elf. Glims Farmstead Museum is part of the KAMU Espoo City Museum.
