The Design Museum is located in the Design District of Helsinki, making it easily accessible on foot from many central locations. From the Market Square, walk southwest along Esplanadi, then turn left onto Korkeavuorenkatu. The museum will be on your right. The walk is approximately 15 minutes. No costs involved.
Public Transport
Several trams and buses stop near the Design Museum. Tram line 10 stops at Johanneksenkirkko, right next to the museum. Buses 20, 30, 55, 64, and 66 also have stops within a short walking distance. A single AB ticket, valid for 80 minutes, costs €3.20 when purchased from a machine or via the HSL mobile app.
Taxi
Taxis are readily available throughout Helsinki. A taxi from the Central Railway Station to the Design Museum is a short ride, typically costing between €10 and €15, depending on traffic and time of day.
