Public Transport

From Helsinki Central Railway Station, take tram line 7 or 9 directly to West Terminal 2. The journey takes approximately 10-15 minutes. A single tram ticket costs around €3.

Taxi

Taxi stands are located right outside the terminal. The lane closest to the terminal is reserved for Lähitaksi and Taksi Helsinki. A taxi from Helsinki city center to West Terminal 2 typically costs €15-€25, with a €3.20 surcharge for taxis leaving the terminal.

Car

Follow the signs to Länsisatama (West Harbour). Short-term parking is available near the terminal entrance along Atlantinkatu. For long-term parking, use the Satamaparkki car park at Länsisatamankatu 45. Pre-booking online at satamaparkki.fi is recommended. Drive-in parking is also possible. Parking fees vary, but expect to pay around €2-4 per hour.

West Terminal 2, located in Helsinki's Jätkäsaari district, is Finland's busiest passenger harbor, facilitating travel primarily between Helsinki and Tallinn. Opened in February 2017, the terminal was designed to accommodate the increasing ferry traffic and provide a seamless travel experience.The terminal's architecture, designed by PES-Architects, is both functional and visually striking. The design separates departing and arriving passenger flows for efficient transit. The departure lounge is elevated 10 meters above the ground, allowing traffic to flow underneath the building. High glass walls in the departure lounge offer expansive views of the sea and the ferries. The building's form was inspired by sea monsters and Star Wars spaceships. The materials were chosen for wear resistance.West Terminal 2 offers various services, including restaurants, cafes, ATMs, and service points for Tallink Silja Line and Eckerö Line. The terminal is well-connected to Helsinki's city center and airport via public transportation.
