Ferry
To reach King's Gate, start by heading to the Market Square (Kauppatori) in central Helsinki. From there, look for the ferry terminal located on the southern edge of the square. Take a ferry operated by the Helsinki City Transport (HKL) to Suomenlinna, which is a historical sea fortress. The ferry ride takes about 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive at the Suomenlinna ferry terminal, follow the signs to exit the terminal and head towards the main path leading into the fortress.
Walking
After exiting the ferry terminal in Suomenlinna, you will find yourself on a pathway leading into the fortress. Walk straight ahead, passing the information center and the museum. Continue along the main path, which will eventually lead you to the King's Gate. The walk takes approximately 10-15 minutes, and you will see signs directing you to King's Gate along the way. Be sure to enjoy the scenic views of the fortress as you stroll.
