    If you are starting from the Helsinki Central Station, walk to the nearby Rautatientori tram stop. Take tram number 4 or 10 towards 'Kumpula' or 'Katajanokka' respectively. Ride for 3 stops and get off at 'Helsingin yliopisto' (University of Helsinki). From there, walk towards the south along the street 'Fabianinkatu' until you reach 'Aleksanterinkatu'. Turn left and walk until you arrive at the street 'Pohjoisesplanadi'. Continue straight until you reach 'Mannerheimintie'. Cross the street, and you will find the Stone Ball Stairs located near the entrance of the Esplanadi Park.

    If you are nearby the Market Square ('Kauppatori'), walk towards 'Esplanadi Park'. Enter the park from the main entrance and continue walking straight on the main path through the park. The Stone Ball Stairs are located at the southern end of the park. Look for the large stone ball at the staircase entrance.

    From the Helsinki Central Station, walk to the bus stop located at 'Rautatientori'. Take bus number 24 towards 'Helsingin yliopisto'. After a short ride, get off at 'Keskuspuisto'. From there, walk towards 'Mannerheimintie' and follow the same directions provided for the tram to reach the Stone Ball Stairs.
