From Jyväskylä city center, head north on Vapaudenkatu, then turn left onto Kauppakatu. Continue until you reach the lakeside promenade. Follow the promenade northeast along the water for approximately 3 kilometers. The Pitkäruohi Bird-Watching Tower will be on your right. The walk takes around 40-50 minutes.

From Jyväskylä city center, walk to the Jyväskylä bus station located at Vapaudenkatu 33. Take bus number 7 towards 'Puutarhanranta'. The bus ride takes approximately 20 minutes. Get off at the 'Puutarhanranta' stop. Head east on Puutarhanranta street for about 300 meters to reach the Pitkäruohi Bird-Watching Tower on your left, near the lakeside. A single bus ticket costs approximately €2.70 - €4.00.
