From Kuusamo Airport, take the pre-booked airport bus to Ruka village. The one-way fare is approximately €15.90 for adults and €8.90 for children (4-11 years). Buses also run regularly between Kuusamo center and Ruka village. During the winter, a SkiBus operates around the resort and between Ruka and Kuusamo, free with a ski pass when the lifts are open.
Taxi
Taxis are available in Ruka-Kuusamo 24/7. A taxi from Kuusamo Airport to Ruka village costs approximately €30-40. Shared taxi options to Karhunkierros Trail are also available during the summer.
Driving
Ruka is about 30 minutes north of Kuusamo Airport. From Kuusamo, follow the well-marked roads to Ruka. Parking is available in several areas, including the Ruka Parking Hall, which costs €1.5 per hour or €15 per day. The parking hall offers heated spaces and electric car charging stations.
