If you're traveling by car, start your journey on the Karhunkierros Trail and head towards Kuusamo. From the center of Kuusamo, take Route 5 (E75) towards Ruka and continue for about 15 kilometers. Turn right onto Liikasenvaarantie road. Follow this road for approximately 5 kilometers until you see signs for Kiutaköngäs. The scenic spot will be on your left, and parking is available nearby.

For those using public transport, start by taking a bus from the nearest town to the Karhunkierros Trail to Kuusamo. Once in Kuusamo, you will need to take a local bus that goes to Ruka. Confirm with the bus schedule for specific times, as they may vary. Request the driver to drop you off at the Liikasenvaarantie stop. From there, it’s about a 1.5-kilometer walk to Kiutaköngäs. Follow the road signs, and enjoy the scenic route as you approach your destination.
