    Getting There

    Car

    If you are driving, head towards Myllykoskentie 29, 93850 Kuusamo. From the center of Kuusamo, take the E75 highway north for approximately 18 kilometers. Turn left onto Myllykoskentie (Road 8711) and continue for about 6 kilometers until you reach the Myllykoski Rapids parking area. There is a designated parking lot where you can leave your car, usually free of charge.

    Public Transportation

    To reach Myllykoski Rapids via public transportation, take a bus from Kuusamo city center to the nearest stop, which is usually 'Myllykoski.' Buses operated by Koillisbus are available, but check the local schedule for current routes and times. Once you arrive at the Myllykoski stop, it's a short walk of about 500 meters to the rapids, following the signs leading to the viewing area.

    Walking

    If you are already on the Karhunkierros Trail and wish to reach Myllykoski Rapids, follow the trail markers leading to the Myllykoski. The trek from the nearest trailhead is approximately 2 kilometers and should take about 30-40 minutes on foot. The path is well-marked, but make sure to carry water and wear suitable footwear for hiking.
