If you're driving, start by heading towards Rantasalmi, which is the nearest town to Linnavuori Rock. From the center of Rantasalmi, take Route 62 (Rantasalmentie) towards the southeast. Continue on this road for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach the sign for Linnavuori. Turn right onto a smaller road that leads directly to Linnavuori Rock. There is a parking area available near the rock site.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from the nearest city, such as Savonlinna, to Rantasalmi. The bus service is provided by Onnibus or local transport services. Once in Rantasalmi, you will need to walk or take a taxi to reach Linnavuori Rock, as public transport options directly to the rock are very limited. It’s about a 10-kilometer distance, which may take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours to walk, so consider arranging a taxi in advance for convenience.
