If you're traveling by car, head towards Oravi, located approximately 40 kilometers from Joensuu. From Joensuu, take Route 23 towards Savonlinna. After around 30 kilometers, turn left onto Route 462, which leads directly to Oravi. Once in Oravi, navigate to Kiramontie 27, where you'll find the starting point for accessing Linnansaari National Park. Note that parking is available in Oravi, but be sure to check for any parking fees.

Public Transportation
For those relying on public transportation, take a bus from Joensuu to Savonlinna. Buses run regularly and the journey takes about 1.5 hours. Once in Savonlinna, transfer to a local bus that goes to Oravi. The bus ride from Savonlinna to Oravi takes around 30 minutes. Upon arriving in Oravi, you will need to walk to Kiramontie 27 to reach the park entrance. Be aware of the bus schedule to ensure timely connections.

After reaching Oravi, you can take a boat shuttle to the main island of Linnansaari National Park. The boat service operates from the Oravi harbor, and tickets can be purchased on-site. The cost for a round trip is usually around 20 Euros. The boat ride offers beautiful views of the archipelago and takes approximately 15-20 minutes to reach the park.
