Getting There

  • Ferry

    The primary access to the Eastern Gulf of Finland National Park is by boat. From Hamina, a scheduled boat operates to Ulko-Tammio during weekends in the summer. Check the local schedules for updated times. A typical ferry ride from Hamina to Ulko-Tammio ranges from €10 to €20 per person. Alternatively, boat taxis are available from Hamina, with Jyrki Laamanen offering service for up to 12 persons (+358 40 5483 182). TakSea ky also provides boat taxi services for smaller groups. Note that ferry services may be limited during off-peak seasons.

    To reach Hamina from other parts of Finland, take a train to Kouvola and transfer to a local bus to Hamina. From the Hamina bus station, transfer to the harbor for ferry or boat taxi services to the islands. Bus number 4 will take you to the nearest stop for Ulko-Tammio. Ensure you check bus schedules in advance as services may be limited.
