    From Joensuu, take a bus towards Kontiolahti. Get off at the stop for Herajärven rantatie. From there, it's approximately a 10-minute walk (800 meters) to Lakkala, located at Herajärven rantatie 37b. Bus fare from Joensuu to Kontiolahti is typically around €4-€6.

    Car

    From the main areas of Koli National Park, head southwest on Route 6 towards Kontiolahti. After about 15 kilometers, take the exit towards Herajärven rantatie. Continue on Herajärven rantatie for approximately 5 kilometers. Lakkala will be on your left at Herajärven rantatie 37b. Parking is available near the site. Parking is free.

    Walking

    If you are already hiking the Herajärven kierros trail, follow the marked trail. Lakkala is located directly on the trail, approximately 4 km from Kiviniemi. From Seppälä, follow the trail for about 5.8 km towards Lakkala. No costs are associated with walking, but ensure you have appropriate hiking gear.
