Car
If driving from Joensuu, take Route 6 towards Kitee. Continue for approximately 40 km until you reach Heinävaara. In Heinävaara, turn onto Selkientie and continue for about 5 km. Mustavaara will be on your right. Parking is available at the resort. Parking is free.
Public Transport
To reach Mustavaara via public transport, take a bus from Joensuu to Heinävaara. Buses are operated by Karelian Regional Transport. From the Heinävaara bus stop, it is approximately a 4 km walk to Mustavaara along Selkientie. A single bus fare from Joensuu to Heinävaara typically costs around €5-€10. Alternatively, a taxi from the Heinävaara bus stop to Mustavaara will cost approximately €15-€20.
