From Joensuu, take a local bus towards Kitee from the Joensuu bus station. The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Utransaari ferry terminal stop. Check the bus schedule in advance, as services may be limited on weekends. A single bus fare costs approximately €3-5.
Car
If driving from Joensuu, take the E63 highway east. After about 15 kilometers, follow the signs for Utransaari. Drive to the ferry terminal. Parking is available near the terminal for approximately €5 per day.
Ferry
From the Utransaari ferry terminal, take a short ferry ride to Utransaari Island. The ferry operates frequently during the summer months; check the schedule for off-peak seasons. Ferry costs are included in local transport passes, otherwise, expect to pay around €3-5 for a round trip.
