Kuhmo Winter War Museum: A Chronicle of Courage

The Winter War Museum in Kuhmo provides a compelling and immersive experience, detailing the Winter War fought between Finland and the Soviet Union. Opened in July 1994, the museum presents a comprehensive overview of the conflict, with a particular focus on the battles that took place in the Kuhmo region. The museum's exhibits explore various themes, including the evacuation of civilians, the bombing of Kuhmo, the experiences of soldiers on the front lines, medical care, and the challenges of rebuilding life after the peace treaty.
