    Discover more about Replot Bridge

Spanning 1,045 meters, the Replot Bridge (Raippaluodon silta in Finnish, Replotbron in Swedish) is an impressive feat of engineering and a landmark in the Korsholm municipality. Opened in 1997, it replaced a ferry connection that had been in place since 1952, providing a convenient and scenic route to Replot Island and the Kvarken Archipelago. The bridge's two supporting pylons reach a height of 82.5 meters, making it a striking feature of the landscape. As you cross the bridge, you're treated to panoramic views of the surrounding archipelago, characterized by its unique geological formations and lush greenery. The Kvarken Archipelago is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, recognized for its ongoing land uplift phenomenon and De Geer moraines. The bridge is more than just a transit route; it's a destination in itself, inviting visitors to explore the natural beauty of the region. The bridge facilitates access to various outdoor activities, including fishing, boating, and hiking. Replot Island itself is part of a larger archipelago, with many smaller islands traditionally used as fishing camps, now often serving as summer cottages. The area is rich in maritime culture, and the bridge has made it easier for both locals and tourists to enjoy the islands. Whether you're a nature lover, photographer, or simply seeking a tranquil escape, the Replot Bridge offers a memorable experience.
