If arriving by car, navigate to Karhunkierros 150, Ähtäri. The zoo is located off Route 5 (E63). Ample free parking is available in three parking areas. P1 is closest to the entrance.

From the Ähtäri bus station, the zoo is approximately 3 kilometers away. You can either walk (30-40 minutes) or take a local taxi to Ähtäri Zoo. Bus line 190 connects the Ähtäri Zoo and the city center. A taxi from the Ähtäri bus station will cost approximately €20-€24.
