Upon arriving at the Kärkölä bus station, Huovila Park is approximately a 15-minute walk. Exit the bus and head left on Museontie. Follow the road until you see the park entrance at Museontie 17. Bus tickets from Lahti to Kärkölä cost approximately €26-€35.

Founded by engineer Carl Constantin Collin, the park has been meticulously restored to its early 1900s design, offering visitors a unique blend of natural beauty and historical charm. The 3.5-hectare park features four ponds, lush vegetation, and winding paths that invite exploration and relaxation. The park's design incorporates a variety of trees, bushes, and perennial plants, including tall Siberian firs that give Huovila Park a distinctive character. Visitors can wander through the park, admiring the carefully designed landscape and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. The bridges, belvederes, and fountain have all been rebuilt to match their original appearance, enhancing the park's historical authenticity. In addition to its natural beauty, Huovila Park is home to the Kärkölä Local Heritage Museum, which provides insights into the local culture and history. The museum complex includes 14 buildings, with the oldest being the Maijala House from the 18th century. The museum and café are open from Wednesday to Sunday, from late May to the end of August. The park also hosts events and exhibitions during the summer. Huovila Park is also a filming location for the Sanaton maa music video.
