From the center of Rovaniemi, head to the Rovaniemi bus station, which is located at Asemakatu 1. Look for bus number 8, which goes towards the Arctic Circle Hiking Area. The bus ride takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Get off at the stop named 'Arctic Circle', which is the closest stop to the hiking area. From there, follow the signs for the hiking trails, which are well-marked. The hiking area is about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop.

Bicycle Rental
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Rovaniemi, such as 'Rovaniemi Bike Rental' located near the city center. Once you have your bicycle, head towards Vaattunkikönkääntie. Follow the bike paths leading out of the city towards the Arctic Circle Hiking Area. The route is approximately 12 kilometers and can take around 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on your cycling speed. Once you reach Vaattunkikönkääntie, look for signs directing you to the hiking area entrance.

Walking
If you're up for a long walk, you can walk directly to the Arctic Circle Hiking Area. Start from the Rovaniemi city center and head towards the Ounasjoki River. Follow the riverside path heading northeast. You will eventually reach Vaattunkikönkääntie. The total walking distance is approximately 12 kilometers, which may take around 2.5 to 3 hours. Once you reach Vaattunkikönkääntie, continue walking until you see the signs for the hiking area.
