From anywhere in Savo, head towards Kuopio. If you are using a GPS, enter the destination as 'Kauppakatu 35, 70100 Kuopio'. Upon reaching Kuopio, follow the signs directing you to the city center. Once in the city center, look for Kauppakatu Street. The Kuopio Art Museum is located on this street. There is parking available nearby, but be aware that parking may incur a fee, so check local parking regulations.

If traveling by bus, check the local bus schedules to find a route that goes to Kuopio. Most buses will drop you off at the Kuopio bus station. From the bus station, it's a short walk to the museum. Head southeast on Suokatu towards Kauppakatu and then turn left onto Kauppakatu. The museum is located at Kauppakatu 35.

If you are coming from a farther distance, consider taking a train to Kuopio. The Kuopio train station is centrally located. Once you arrive at the station, exit and head towards the bus station (located adjacent to the train station) or walk to Kauppakatu. If walking, head southeast on Suokatu and turn left onto Kauppakatu. The museum will be on your left at Kauppakatu 35. Note that train tickets will vary in cost depending on your starting location.
