From Savonlinna city center, walk to the Savonlinna bus station located at Kauppatori 2, 57130 Savonlinna. Take bus number 23 towards Saukonsaari. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Saukonsaari stop, disembark and follow the signs for Luhtasentie. The rock paintings are located a short walk from the bus stop. Head east on Luhtasentie for about 500 meters until you reach the designated area for the rock paintings.

Walking
If you prefer to walk directly from the city center, start at the Olavinlinna Castle and follow the lakeside path southeast. This scenic route will take you along the shores of Lake Saimaa. Continue walking until you reach Saukonsaari, which is approximately 6 kilometers away. The rock paintings are located near the end of Luhtasentie, so keep an eye out for any signs along the way that might guide you to the paintings.

Bicycle Rental
Rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Savonlinna. Head south along the main road towards Saukonsaari. The total distance is about 6 kilometers. Follow the bike lane and when you reach Saukonsaari, look for Luhtasentie. The rock paintings will be a short ride along this road. The bike ride should take around 25-30 minutes.
