Walking
If you are starting from the center of Savonlinna, head south on the main street, Kauppakatu. Walk for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Rantakatu. Turn left onto Rantakatu, which runs along the waterfront. Continue walking for another 1.5 kilometers, enjoying the scenic views of Lake Saimaa. You will eventually see Olavinlinna Castle on your right as you approach the waterfront. The walk should take approximately 20-25 minutes.
