Peters Point Beachfront Park: A Coastal Paradise

Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, start by heading south on Sadler Rd from the central area of Amelia Island. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Florida A1A. Turn right onto A1A and follow it for approximately 4 miles. Look for Peters Point Rd on your left. Turn left onto Peters Point Rd, and you will find Peters Point Beachfront Park at 4600 Peters Point Rd, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034. There is free parking available at the park.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, check for local bus services that operate on Amelia Island. You can take the bus that goes along Florida A1A. Get off at the nearest stop to Peters Point Rd. From there, it will be about a 10-15 minute walk to Peters Point Beachfront Park. Ensure you check the bus schedule for the most current times, as they can vary.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from various rental shops on Amelia Island. Start from the central area and head south on Sadler Rd, then turn onto A1A. Continue along the bike lanes provided until you reach Peters Point Rd. Turn left and cycle down to the park entrance. This route is approximately 4 miles and is very bike-friendly, with plenty of scenic views along the way.

• Walking

  If you are staying nearby and prefer to walk, navigate towards Sadler Rd and head south. Once you reach the intersection with A1A, turn right and walk for about 4 miles. You may need to walk along the roadside where there are no sidewalks, so be cautious. Once you reach Peters Point Rd, turn left, and you will soon arrive at the beach park. This walk can be quite lengthy, so be prepared with water and sun protection.
