Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, start by heading northwest on US-90 W from your current location in Big Bend. Continue on US-90 W for approximately 25 miles until you reach the junction with FL-59 N. Take the exit for FL-59 N and continue for about 7 miles. Then, turn left onto Goose Pasture Road. Follow Goose Pasture Road for about 3 miles, and you will arrive at the Aucilla Wildlife Management Area, located at Goose Pasture, Monticello, FL 32344.

• Public Transportation

  Unfortunately, there is limited public transportation directly to the Aucilla Wildlife Management Area. The nearest public transport option would be to take a bus to Monticello, FL. From Big Bend, you can check with local bus services for routes to Monticello. Once in Monticello, you will need to use a taxi or rideshare service to reach the Aucilla Wildlife Management Area, which is about a 15-minute drive (approximately 10 miles). Ensure you arrange for a taxi or rideshare in advance, as options may be limited in rural areas.

• Bicycle

  For the more adventurous, consider biking to the Aucilla Wildlife Management Area. If you are starting from the center of Big Bend, head northwest on US-90 W. Ensure you have proper gear and a map, and be aware that this route includes some stretches without dedicated bike lanes. After about 25 miles, take FL-59 N and continue until you reach Goose Pasture Road. Turn left and bike for another 3 miles to reach the area.
