Car
From Big Bend, head southwest on U.S. Highway 17. Follow U.S. 17 for approximately 15 miles until you reach the intersection with State Road 40. Continue straight to stay on U.S. 17. After about another 5 miles, you will see the entrance to Lake George State Forest on your right. The address is 5458 U.S. 17, De Leon Springs, FL 32130. There is no entry fee to access the state forest.

Currently, there is limited public transportation directly to Lake George State Forest. The nearest bus service is available from DeLand, FL. You can take the Votran bus service from DeLand to a stop near U.S. 17. Once you reach U.S. 17, you will need to walk approximately 1 mile south to reach the entrance of Lake George State Forest. Please check the Votran schedule for specific routes and times, as well as any potential costs (fares are generally around $1.25).
