    If you are driving from anywhere on Captiva Island, head south on Captiva Drive towards Sanibel Island. Continue straight onto Sanibel Causeway. After crossing the bridge, follow the signs to Florida 867 S. Merge onto Florida 867 S and continue for approximately 10 miles. Take the exit toward Bonita Beach Rd, and then turn right onto Bonita Beach Rd. After about 2 miles, turn left onto Barefoot Beach Blvd. The Barefoot Beach County Preserve will be on your right at 505 Barefoot Beach Blvd.

    To reach Barefoot Beach County Preserve using public transportation, first take the LeeTran bus (Route 50) from Captiva Island to the nearest bus stop on Sanibel Island. From there, transfer to Route 150 heading towards Bonita Springs. Disembark at the Bonita Beach Rd & Barefoot Beach Blvd stop. Walk east on Bonita Beach Rd for about 0.5 miles, then turn right onto Barefoot Beach Blvd. The preserve entrance will be on your right at 505 Barefoot Beach Blvd.
