Getting There

    If you are driving from anywhere on Captiva Island, head southwest on Captiva Drive toward Sanibel Captiva Road. Continue straight to stay on Captiva Drive as it becomes Sanibel Captiva Road. After approximately 5 miles, turn left onto Pine Island Road (FL-78). Follow Pine Island Road for about 6.5 miles, then turn right onto Waterfront Drive. The Calusa Heritage Trail will be on your left at 13810 Waterfront Dr, Bokeelia, FL 33922. Parking is available on-site.

    If you prefer public transportation, you can take the LeeTran bus service from Captiva Island to Pine Island. Board the LeeTran Route 50 bus at the nearest bus stop on Captiva Drive. The bus will take you to the Pine Island Road Transfer Station. From there, transfer to Route 60, which will take you towards Bokeelia. Disembark at the stop nearest to Waterfront Drive, and walk approximately 0.5 miles to the Calusa Heritage Trail located at 13810 Waterfront Dr, Bokeelia, FL 33922.
