If you're driving from Captiva Island to Sanibel Lighthouse, start by heading southeast on Captiva Drive. Continue straight until you reach the end of Captiva Drive, where it intersects with Sanibel Captiva Road. Turn left onto Sanibel Captiva Road and follow the signs towards Sanibel Island. After crossing the bridge onto Sanibel Island, continue straight until you reach Periwinkle Way. Turn right onto Periwinkle Way. The Sanibel Lighthouse will be on your left at 112 Periwinkle Way. There is no cost for parking at the lighthouse, but be aware that it can get busy during peak tourist seasons.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take the Sanibel Trolley service. Catch the trolley at any designated stop in Captiva Island. The trolley will take you to Sanibel Island. Once you arrive at the Sanibel stop, walk towards Periwinkle Way. It is about a 10-minute walk from the trolley stop to the lighthouse. Keep in mind that the trolley operates on a schedule, so check the times beforehand to avoid long waits. The fare for the trolley is typically around $5 for a day pass.

If you're feeling adventurous, renting a bicycle is a great way to reach Sanibel Lighthouse from Captiva Island. There are several rental shops on Captiva Island. Once you have your bike, head southeast on Captiva Drive, then turn left onto Sanibel Captiva Road following the same route as if you were driving. Upon crossing the bridge onto Sanibel Island, continue straight until you reach Periwinkle Way, then turn right. The lighthouse will be on your left. This option allows you to enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way, but remember to bring water and stay hydrated!
