Car
If you are traveling by car, start from downtown Jacksonville. Head north on I-95 and take exit 373A to merge onto FL-105 N. After about 6 miles, merge onto FL-10 E (Heckscher Drive). Continue on Heckscher Drive for approximately 11 miles until you reach the intersection with Florida A1A. Turn left onto Florida A1A, and you will find Amelia Island State Park on your right after about 4 miles.

If you prefer public transportation, take the Jacksonville Skyway to the Jacksonville Terminal. From there, take the 10 or 18 bus routes to the Jacksonville Zoo. At the zoo, transfer to the 28 bus route towards Amelia Island. This bus will take you close to the entrance of Amelia Island State Park. Be sure to check the schedule for the bus as it may not be very frequent, and plan accordingly.

For a more adventurous route, consider cycling. Starting from downtown Jacksonville, you can take the Northbank Riverwalk to the Atlantic Boulevard Bridge. The total bike route will be around 20 miles, so ensure you are prepared for a longer journey.
