Car
From downtown St. Augustine, head north on US-1 N/State Road 5. Continue for approximately 2 miles. Turn left onto Fort Mose Trail, which is marked with signs for Fort Mose Historic State Park. Follow Fort Mose Trail for about 1 mile, and you will arrive at the park entrance at 15 Fort Mose Trail, St. Augustine, FL 32084. Parking is available at the park for a fee of $5 per vehicle.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, take the St. Johns County Transit bus (Route 14) from the St. Augustine Historic District toward the St. Augustine Beach. Get off at the stop nearest to US-1 N at Fort Mose Trail. From there, it is about a 15-minute walk to the park entrance. Be sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time, as service may vary, and fares are typically around $1.50.
Bicycle
For those who prefer cycling, there are bike paths that connect to Fort Mose Historic State Park from various parts of St. Augustine. If you are starting from the downtown area, take San Marco Avenue north until you reach the intersection with US-1 N, then continue on the bike lane along the side of US-1 N until you reach Fort Mose Trail. The park is approximately 4 miles from downtown St. Augustine. Parking for bicycles is available at the park.
Walking
If you are staying nearby, you can walk to Fort Mose Historic State Park from local accommodations. From the nearest hotels on US-1 N, head north and turn left onto Fort Mose Trail. The park entrance is about a 30-minute walk from US-1 N. Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and stay hydrated!
