Getting There

Please note that there is no direct parking at Indian Key itself, so you will need a boat to reach the park.   If you prefer public transportation, use the Florida Keys Shuttle Service which operates along U.S. Route 1. You can board the shuttle at various locations throughout the Keys. Request to be dropped off at Mile Marker 78.5. From there, you will need to walk to the Indian Key Fill where you can rent a kayak or small boat to reach Indian Key Historic State Park. Be sure to check the shuttle schedule in advance for any potential delays.

• Kayaking or Boating

  Once you arrive at the Indian Key Fill, you will need to rent a kayak or small boat to access Indian Key Historic State Park. Rentals are typically available at the Fill, but it’s advisable to call ahead to ensure availability. Rental costs can range from $30 to $60 for a kayak for a few hours, depending on the rental provider. After securing your kayak or boat, paddle approximately 1/2 mile to reach Indian Key.
