If you are driving from Fort Lauderdale Beach, begin your journey by heading south on A1A (also known as Ocean Drive). Continue for about 2 miles until you reach the intersection with SE 17th Street. Turn left onto SE 17th Street and follow it as it becomes the 17th Street Causeway. After crossing the causeway, continue straight to merge onto US-1 S (Federal Highway).
