If you are driving, start by heading east on SE 17th Street toward the beach. Continue straight until you reach A1A (S Atlantic Blvd). Turn left onto A1A and drive north. After approximately 1.5 miles, you will see DC Alexander Park on your right at 501 S Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd. Look for parking options along the street or nearby parking lots, which may incur a fee.
Public Transportation (Bus)
For those using public transportation, take the Broward County Transit bus number 11 or 40 from various locations in Fort Lauderdale. Make sure to ask the driver to stop at the nearest stop to DC Alexander Park. The closest stop is usually at A1A & Las Olas Blvd. From there, walk east along Las Olas Blvd until you reach A1A, then turn right to walk south along the beach until you reach the park. The bus fare is approximately $2.00.
Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, Fort Lauderdale Beach has bike rental shops available. Rent a bike and head towards Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd. Follow the bike lanes along the beach.
