Bicycle
Start at the city center of Fort Myers. Head south on Main Street towards the Caloosahatchee River. Once you reach the river, turn left onto the riverwalk path. Continue along the river, enjoying the views, until you reach the Edison Bridge. Cross the bridge and follow the path that leads to McGregor Boulevard. From there, take a right on McGregor Boulevard and continue until you reach the entrance to the nature preserve that leads to Legacy Island.
Public Transit
Begin at the nearest bus stop that serves LeeTran routes. Take Route 140 towards the Fort Myers Downtown area. Get off at the stop near the Caloosahatchee River. From there, walk south towards the river and look for the riverwalk path. Follow the path along the river until you reach the Edison Bridge. Cross the bridge, and then head right onto McGregor Boulevard. Continue walking until you reach the entrance for Legacy Island.
Walking
If you're starting in downtown Fort Myers, walk south on Main Street until you reach the Caloosahatchee River. Turn left and follow the riverwalk path. Stay on the path as it curves around the river. Once you reach the Edison Bridge, cross over it and continue along the path until you reach McGregor Boulevard. Turn right on McGregor Boulevard and walk straight to find the entrance to Legacy Island.
