Walking
If you are staying in the downtown area of Fort Pierce, start by heading north on Indian River Drive. Continue walking along this road for about 10-15 minutes. You will pass by several shops and restaurants, so feel free to stop along the way. Keep walking until you reach 480 N Indian River Dr. The Manatee Observation and Education Center will be on your left.
Bicycle
If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bicycle from local rental shops in downtown Fort Pierce. Once you have your bike, head north on Indian River Drive. The ride is approximately 1 mile and should take around 5-10 minutes. Enjoy the scenic views along the river as you pedal towards 480 N Indian River Dr. The center will be located on your left side.
Public Transportation
To reach the Manatee Observation and Education Center via public transportation, locate the nearest bus stop in Fort Pierce. Look for a bus that heads towards the North Beach area. You may need to transfer at a central hub, such as the Fort Pierce Transit Center. Ask the driver to let you know when you reach the stop closest to 480 N Indian River Dr. From the bus stop, it’s a short walk to the center, which will be on your left.
