If you are starting from downtown Gainesville, head to the nearest bus stop on University Avenue. Take the RTS bus route 75 towards the Kanapaha Botanical Gardens. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the stop named 'SW 58th Dr @ Summer House.' From there, walk approximately 0.5 miles southeast on SW 58th Dr until you reach the entrance of the Kanapaha Botanical Gardens.
Bicycle
For those who prefer cycling, start from the University of Florida campus and head south on SW 34th St. Continue on SW 34th St until you reach the intersection with SW 58th Dr. Turn left onto SW 58th Dr, and continue cycling for about 1.5 miles. The entrance to Kanapaha Botanical Gardens will be on your left. Make sure to wear a helmet and stay aware of traffic.
Walking
If you are within walking distance, you can walk to the gardens from the nearby neighborhoods. From the closest point, follow SW 58th Dr southbound for about 1 mile. You will pass by residential areas and possibly see local wildlife. The entrance to Kanapaha Botanical Gardens will be on your right. The walk should take approximately 20-30 minutes depending on your pace.
