Turn left onto Old Highway (just before Mile Marker 81) and you will find the Hurricane Monument at 81831 Old Hwy, Islamorada, FL 33036. There is free parking available on-site.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, check the schedule for the Miami-Dade Transit or the Upper Keys Shuttle service that operates in the Florida Keys. You can take the bus to Mile Marker 81. From there, you will need to walk approximately 0.5 miles along Old Highway to reach Hurricane Monument. Keep in mind that there may be a small fee for the bus fare, typically around $2.50 - $5.00 depending on your starting point.

• Bicycle

  For those who enjoy cycling, there are bike paths along the Overseas Highway. You can rent a bike from various rental shops in Islamorada. Head toward Mile Marker 81 on the bike path, then turn onto Old Highway. The Hurricane Monument is just a short ride away at 81831 Old Hwy, Islamorada, FL 33036. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow local traffic rules.

• Walking

  If you are staying nearby and wish to walk, simply navigate to Old Highway from your location. Head toward Mile Marker 81 and turn onto Old Highway. The Hurricane Monument will be located just ahead at 81831 Old Hwy, Islamorada, FL 33036. The walk is pleasant and allows you to enjoy the local scenery.
