Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, head south on US-1 (Overseas Highway) from any point in Islamorada. Look for the exit towards Johnston Road. Turn onto Johnston Road and continue for about 0.3 miles. Library Beach Park will be on your left at 84 Johnston Rd, Islamorada, FL 33036. There is parking available at the park, which is free.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, you can take the Upper Keys Shuttle Service. Check their schedule for the nearest pick-up point in Islamorada. Ask the driver to drop you off at the closest stop to Johnston Road. From there, it is a short 10-minute walk (about 0.5 miles) to Library Beach Park. The walk will take you through a residential area, so be sure to follow the signs or use a maps app for navigation. Note that shuttle fares range from $2 to $5 depending on the distance.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer biking, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Islamorada. Follow the bike path along US-1 heading south, then turn onto Johnston Road. Library Beach Park is approximately a 1-mile ride from the center of Islamorada. Always wear a helmet and follow local traffic rules for safety.
